Skin Care 360

My skin care regimen consist of any soap available, PODS face cream and regular lotion on my body. Because I have normal skin, this routine is fine but I want to do better! I want to get rid of some scars on my face  and stretch marks on my body. So guess what I bought!!!!!! I bought a TCA PEEL!!!!! It's an acid peel but before you start giving your screen salty looks, let me explain! lol The peel is safe as long as you follow the instructions that came with the product. I've done a lot of research and I know what to do and what not to do. So let's get into some safety tips that I've read!

  • Follow the directions to a T for the product you buy
  • Face should peel in flakes NOT sheets
  • Make sure you have your neutralizer (water & baking soda mix) ready before you start to apply the peel
  • Do a small test patch to see how much time is best for your skin type
  • After you have completed the peel moisturize using a non- comedogenic cream for you skin type
  • Use a non-comedogenic sun screen of at least spf 15 for you skin type if you're going outside
  • When your skin starts be peel DO NOT tug or peel dead skin because you will risk creating scars

I really want to stress to you to PLEASE DO A PATCH TEST especially if you have color to your skin because I've read a persons story about how she got hyperpigmentation all over her face and feeling worse about her skin than ever before. I'm sure she didn't read the directions carefully and most likely didn't do enough research for her personal situation. With darker skin it's easier to get hyperpigmentation than someone who has fair skin. From what I read it's best to start out with a weaker TCA peel and get the results over a longer period of time than to do a stronger peel that might cause you develop hyerpigmentation and other negative effects. So again please do a patch test. But if you decide to do this at a higher percentage please please please be careful and do as much research as you can for your personal situation.

Now lets talk about what I bought for this new routine that will hopefully bring me great results.

POND'S Dry Skin Cream
I forgot the price on this because I've had it for awhile. I'd guess around $5 to $7 dollars at you local grocery store, Walgreens and Riteaid.
