Food Shopping Trip

So I went shopping today but I was using borrowed money until I get paid. Thank god for nice and gracious parents!!!!!! The best thing I bought was shrimp and the crab in a can, soooooo good! lol I've made all of my meals and have em packed for tomorrow. I'm feeling good but then it I realized sooner or later I'm going to have a sweet tooth attack and will blow my permeant way of eating so, next week I'm planning on making healthy brownies!!!!!! I'm sooooo excited I can't wait!!!!!!! I've tried to do this before and they were gross! lol I've found a different recipe that looks promising!!!!! Wish me luck. :O)

Weigh In Time! :O)

This is my latest weigh in video!!!! I did lose weight and happy about it! I just remembered that I forgot to talk about what I ate and what I did for exercise! lol wow.  So...... $20.00 a week on food for me is a no go. I ran out of meat by Tuesday lol my mother made grave with my soup lol, I ran out of veggies most my veggies by Thursday. The crazy thing is, I spent $28.00 dollars I think.

This week my mother went shopping and got some of the stuff I need so now I think I can spend $20.00 bucks and be fine because I just need some meats and other little things. Boy I can't wait to get this day care started because I really want to buy organic foods and more expensive meats! lol

My workout plan for this past week was to do 6 workouts and I ended up doing it all. Heres the breakdown:

  • Monday (Tae Bo Advance)
  • Tuesday (HIIT)
  • Wednesday (HIIT)
  • Thursday (Tae Bo Advance)
  • Friday Dance Dance Revolution)
  • Saturday (OFF)

Mo money mo money mo money!

Seems like after every Christmas I am super broke and I'm itching for tax time to come around but this time a feel different. I'm more focused on making more money, paying off debts, saving, and investing. The goals I've set for myself are simple and straight forward. I want to:

  • Save for a house
Once I get my day care started. I plan on working really hard to fill it up. Then that way I can save even faster for my house. I plan on saving $200,000.00 because I want to buy a two million dollar house in Corona or have it built. I know that sounds like to much for someone in my situation but I truly believe that if I work hard enough, I can make it happen.

  • Pay off my credit card bill
This is my smallest bill to pay off so that's what I'm starting with. Next would be the iPad and phone I got on credit from t-mobile, then my school bill which is the highest. Then I'll be debt free until i get my house and car. lol

  • Invest in stock
I heard vanguard is a good place to help you invest and since I have no knowledge of how to do it, this should be a good start. I'm thinking that I'll probably take action after I have started my day care.

What are your thoughts on this? Let me know of any helpful tips and tricks!

Skin Care 360

My skin care regimen consist of any soap available, PODS face cream and regular lotion on my body. Because I have normal skin, this routine is fine but I want to do better! I want to get rid of some scars on my face  and stretch marks on my body. So guess what I bought!!!!!! I bought a TCA PEEL!!!!! It's an acid peel but before you start giving your screen salty looks, let me explain! lol The peel is safe as long as you follow the instructions that came with the product. I've done a lot of research and I know what to do and what not to do. So let's get into some safety tips that I've read!

  • Follow the directions to a T for the product you buy
  • Face should peel in flakes NOT sheets
  • Make sure you have your neutralizer (water & baking soda mix) ready before you start to apply the peel
  • Do a small test patch to see how much time is best for your skin type
  • After you have completed the peel moisturize using a non- comedogenic cream for you skin type
  • Use a non-comedogenic sun screen of at least spf 15 for you skin type if you're going outside
  • When your skin starts be peel DO NOT tug or peel dead skin because you will risk creating scars

I really want to stress to you to PLEASE DO A PATCH TEST especially if you have color to your skin because I've read a persons story about how she got hyperpigmentation all over her face and feeling worse about her skin than ever before. I'm sure she didn't read the directions carefully and most likely didn't do enough research for her personal situation. With darker skin it's easier to get hyperpigmentation than someone who has fair skin. From what I read it's best to start out with a weaker TCA peel and get the results over a longer period of time than to do a stronger peel that might cause you develop hyerpigmentation and other negative effects. So again please do a patch test. But if you decide to do this at a higher percentage please please please be careful and do as much research as you can for your personal situation.

Now lets talk about what I bought for this new routine that will hopefully bring me great results.

Baking Soda
forgot how much it cost but you know this stuff is super cheep

Skin Obsession 40% Glycolic Acid Peel
$16.99 free shipping off of amazon

StriVectin-SD Intensive Concentrate For Existing Stretch Marks 6oz
$29.99 + tax at Marshalls

bliss super-sized lemon+sage body butter maximum moisture cream
$16.99 + tax at Marshalls

MDSolarScience UVA-UVB Sunscreen SPF50
$34.00 + tax. I went to Sephora to get this but they didn't have it in store so I ordered it at the store. The shipping was free.

POND'S Dry Skin Cream
I forgot the price on this because I've had it for awhile. I'd guess around $5 to $7 dollars at you local grocery store, Walgreens and Riteaid. I'm still going to use this because I really like this cream and I refuse to stop using it until I can find a better alternative that can do the same thing to my skin.

Traveling in baby steps

I usually just go to work and back home. BORING!!!! I defiantly want to vacation out of the country but for now I need to take baby steps. My first step is to simply get out of the house on weekends and go far enough away that I feel like its an all day event. So my first all day outing will be at Victoria Gardens.  It's an out door mall that has restaurants, shops, and a nice sitting area. I am going to do my best to set it up for this coming weekend but money is funny and change is strange.

Job hunting?

Ok here's the thing. I hate jobs! I hate the word job and every time I think about getting another job, I envision myself hating that job as well but I NEED and want more money. Because $20.00 dollars for food a week just isn't gonna cut it. So, here's what I've been thinking, if I'm gonna get another job it needs to be something where I don't have to be supervised, I don't have to do much, I don't have to be on my feet all day, and I get paid at least $18.00 an hour. The only thing that comes to mind is a security guard (if your lucky enough to find it), and truck driver. I don't want to do either! lol So over the New Years holiday I kept going back and forth on what is my next move?, what am I gonna do? And then it hit me, DAY CARE! I've thought about doing this before but I feel more serious about it this time. I figure if I set up a day care I will be in the comfort of my own home, I can set my own hours and pay, and I won't have a boss on my back because I'll be the boss. The only thing is that it will be involved because kids are very active little people but I don't mind that. I know it won't be easy all the time but I do know it will be a hell of a lot better than what I'm dealing with now. So now it's time to get serious! I told you guys that I would be sharing everything I do so there's no wondering about the how's and when's. Here is my plan of action:

Complete the day care application
Get the house ready for the inspection
Research what people are charging in my area
Get approved
Advertise my butt off

I'm gonna give myself 2 months to get it all together, the rest is out of my hands.

Pastel Paradise

Today I wanted to do something soft an simple so I came up with this combo.

The Real Food Challenge "Kinda" lol

For the month of January I want to do a food challenge each week and layer the challenges to see how well can I adapt to a healthier way of eating. Next month I will be doing my best to maintain consistency. So for this weeks food challenge, I am going to be doing the Real Food Challenge. From what I read you have to eat organic fruits and veggie, drink natural juices, teas, milk and can have package items with 5 ingredients in it or less. That’s all fine and dandy but organic food cost to damn much and I am on an extremely tight budget of $20.00 for this week so I plan on following the rules BUT not buying organic until I can afford organic and I won’t be following the juice part at all! Right now I need my diet drinks until I get the hang of making delicious teas. Now that we are got that out of the way, this is what my grocery list looks like:

Shrimp
Chicken Breast
Cauliflower
Celery
Salad
Tomatoes
Red Onion
Salad Dressing
Head Lettuce
Green Bell Pepper

I do have some things in my fridge that I don’t have do buy (thank god!) so I just be ok with this list. I’m praying I will be able to get everything for $20.00 dollars and I will report back with the haul. In my weight loss video/blog psot, I am going to show what meals I made with this list. Wish me luck!!!! :O)

Update!

I spent $28.56, which is a total fail to me. The only reason why I was able to spent the extra $8.56 is because I did a return today on my mother’s pour shield guard that I got for her Kitchen Aid mixer and also with the help of some change in my purse. I really was trying to save as much as I could but I have a bad habit of spending every dime to my name and being broke until the next payday! Ugh! Lol I did have to get some things that weren’t on my shopping list like baking soda and green onions but those 2 things are not the reason why I went over budget. That’s ok, I plan on doing a $20.00 budget next week as well until I am successful and I will continue to do this until I start making more money. Now lets pray that this food will last until Friday! Lol :O)
